Parts

Jojo's, being a 30-year running publication following multiple protagonists, is split up into eight sections, called Parts. Each Part follows its own subplot which ties into the overall tale of the Joestar family, telling the tale of each Jojo. The first six parts take place in the original universe, while the following parts take place in the SBR Universe.

Phantom Blood (Part 1)

Phantom Blood, the first part of the series, tells the story of Jonathan Joestar and how his adoptive brother Dio Brando uses a mysterious stone mask to turn himself into a vampire. Jonathan, wielding a power known as Hamon, eventually defeats Dio, but the vampire rose again and killed Jonathan.

Battle Tendency (Part 2)

The series's second part, Battle Tendency tells the tale of Jonathan Joestar's grandson, Joseph Joestar, during the peak of World War Two. Joseph encounters the Pillar Men, a race of creatures like vampires, and uses Hamon to battle them, eventually killing all four of them, including their leader, Kars, who evolves into the Ultimate Lifeform.

Stardust Crusaders (Part 3)

Part 3 is the story of the great-great-grandson of Jonathan, Jotaro Kujo, who possesses a mysterious power called a Stand. He uses his power to try and battle the vampire Dio Brando, who stole his great-great-grandfather's body a century before.

Diamond is Unbreakable (Part 4)

Part 4 depicts the summer of 1999 through the eyes of Japanese teenager Josuke Higashikata, the illegitimate son of Joseph Joestar. He, too, has a Stand, and together with Jotaro Kujo, his enigmatic nephew, he must find and kill the serial killer Yoshikage Kira.

Vento Aureo (Part 5)

Part 5 follows Giorno Giovanna, the son of Dio Brando, as he joins the gang Passione in the year 2001. He aspires to bring an end to the gang's leader, and turn the gang into a force for good.

Stone Ocean (Part 6)

Part 6 is the story of Jolyne Kujo, the daughter of Jotaro Kujo who is framed for murder. During the time at prison, she meets the priest-turned villian Enrico Pucci, and makes it her goal to stop him from 'reaching heaven'.

Steel Ball Run (Part 7)

In an alternate universe, the America of the 1890s is holding the Steel Ball Run, a cross-country horse race sponsored by the President himself. Johnny Joestar, a crippled ex-jockey, takes part in this race, only to discover the race's true intention: to find the Holy Corpse, an object which is said to bring unimaginable power.

Jojolion (Part 8)

Part 8 features Josuke Higashikata, an amnesiac who is actually the fusion of two other people. In this ongoing part, Josuke attempts to learn of his past and the people and foces behind it.
