Aztecs
I chose the Aztecs beacause they were a great and strong nation. The Aztecs were great hunters an fearless warriors, their civilization thrived. They were very powerful and were feared way before the Romans and the Greeks. The Aztecs are at times called barbaric for their methods of worship an sacrifice, wich an be true because they seemed to really love violence. The main reason I chose the aztecs is because Manuel Chagoyan wouldn't let me do a project on Bo Jackson!
Montezuma was extremely superstitious. He delayed military advancement on the Spanish, much to the distress of his council, because of omens he had experienced. By the time the Aztec people got the chance to remove him from power, it was too late. 
The Spanish had also brought diseases form Spain and research shows that over 90% of population died of disease. There is also a legend that says that Montezuma hadn't attacked because he had believed Cortez to be Quetzalcoatl the god that had given the Aztecs their land and was said to one day come to redeem his land, but there is no documentation of this or any proof that has been found to prove this legend.
