Ralph Dale Earnhardt, better known as just Dale, was one of greatest Nascar drivers to ever live. As a child he grew up around racing because of his dad. Dale Earnhardt won 76 races, and won 7 championships, which tied him with Richard Petty for the most championship wins. Dale Earnhardt got in a horrible, fatal crash in turn four, of the last lap of the Daytona 500, making Dale the most famous racer to ever die on the race track. Anyone who knows the sport of Nascar, has heard of the great Dale Earnhardt. He had a very aggressive style of racing, that all drivers look up to. It had been nine years since his crash, but his name and legacy will live on forever in the heart of Nascar.

I picked Dale Earnhardt because I think he was a great Nascar racer. When I was a little girl and i went to visit all of my cousins in North Dakota, they were all interested in Nascar. They got me interested as well. I started to play with their cars, and playing their Nascar video games. When I got home, the first thing I wanted was for my parents to buy me all the toy race cars. I was over playing with Barbies, I was playing with cars. My dad and I would watch the race every sunday, and my favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Jr. Everyone talked about his father, who had crashed at the end of the previous season. I used to hate watching crashes during the race because they scared me so much, when I heard of how Dale Earnhardt crashed I was so scared that death could actually come from this sport. I figured since my favorite driver Dale Jr. that I should take on his father as another favorite driver to look up to, even though he had already died. When legends come in Nascar, Dale Earnhardt will always be a popular one.
