Our Mission
Founded by The Coalinga Community Foundation, a non-profit organization established for the benefit of the people of Coalinga. It was created in August, 1972, by interested citizens in an effort to provide an endowment oriented source of funds for cultural, educational and other community needs. To create funds for this, the foundation is encouraging gifts through contributions, wills, living trusts, life insurance and small donations from individuals who care for and have an identification with the Coalinga area. To date the funds on hand have come mainly from the proceeds of the Community Thrift Shop conducted by the Community foundation, and memorial gifts.
